Introducing the Versive MCP server: run research from your AI agent
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client to Versive and design studies, launch research, and analyze results, all in conversation.
Your AI agent just became part of your research team. With the new Versive MCP server, you can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, or any other MCP-compatible tool to your Versive account and run research end to end without leaving the conversation.
Ask your agent what participants said about pricing, and it pulls real quotes from your transcripts. Describe the study you need, and it builds a draft in your dashboard, complete with questions, screeners, and skip logic. Paste your results into a stakeholder update, in your voice, backed by real data.
What you can do
Analyze results on demand. Your agent can check completion rates and drop-off, surface themes across a study, dig into individual interview transcripts, and export responses as CSV. Built-in prompts generate structured research summaries, per-question insights, and executive summaries ready to share.
Design and build studies. Workshop the approach in conversation, then let your agent do the building: create a study, add and reorder questions, organize them into groups, and set up skip logic. Agents know Versive's full question-type catalog, including AI-moderated questions, so they can check what's supported before they build.
Report where your team reads. Because your agent has both your research data and your other tools, it can turn results into presentations, documents, or Slack updates: whatever your team actually reads.
Humans stay in the loop
Everything an agent creates shows up in your Versive dashboard immediately, so you can review and refine before anything goes out. And nothing reaches participants until you share the study link yourself.
Access is secure by default:
- You sign in with your Versive account through a standard OAuth flow, with no API keys to create or manage.
- Read-only by default, with write access only when your client explicitly requests it.
- Scoped to your permissions: your organization role and each study's access policy apply to every request, and each teammate connects with their own account.
- Audited and revocable: every action is recorded in Versive's audit log, and you can disconnect a client at any time.
Set up in minutes
The server works with any MCP client, and setup takes just a few minutes. You'll find step-by-step instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, and more on the new MCP page in your Versive dashboard, and full documentation at docs.getversive.com/mcp.
The MCP server is available now to every Versive user, on every plan.
Where this is going
The MCP server is part of a bigger bet. Research, product, design, and marketing teams are handing more of this work to agents, and an agent without access to real participants will fill the gap with a plausible guess. Sound research needs a study designed well, real people answering it, and analysis you can trace back to what they actually said. Those are the primitives we're building, and MCP is how we hand them to whatever agent your team already uses.
So your agents don't just talk with you about research. They design the study, launch it, collect real responses, and report back with the receipts.
